About Gracie, Blonde Elvis, Shark?, Gingerlys
Named after his beloved golden retriever, Gracie is the alter ego of one-man electronic garage rocker Andrew Theodore Balasia. Gracie's songs range between sexy and meditative and capture the familiar dichotomy of joy tiptoeing with fucked-up-ness. Now a full band, Gracie is able to fully realize the broad scope of his sonic palate. His influences are diverse. Echoes of Billy Corgan are heard in the vocals, and strains of the infected pop of Prince can be discerned in the music. Gracie blends both electronic and organic elements to form a unique listening experience. Birthed in the summer of 2011, Gracie quickly found attention through the far-reaching hands of the Internet's minions, having been praised by gods, bloggers, and lesser mortals. He dropped his first EP For Summer on Absent Fever and Small Plates Records came calling shortly after to release the destructionist R n' B of the Treehouse EP in February 2012. When Gracie releases his third EP, Bleeder, on Small Plates this February, it will mark a transition towards a more complete sound. The songs are focused and sensual and wiggle into your subconscious the same way a bad habit does when you realize you have one. Gracie currently resides in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Blonde Elvis warms you on the coldest of nights like a cherished whisky perfected by the sixteen men of tain.
"Shark? is a social utility that connects beer to your face and if you're lucky maybe even a girl, but most likely a PA to your foot and fuzzy memories of midnight tacos. New album SAVIOR out on Old Flame Records Summer 2013."

Guitarist Matt Richards began sharing acoustic demos of his strummy pop songs to his fellow bandmates and the group began formulating Matt's songs together in his NY basement. Vocalist and keyboardist Maria Garnica brought life to the rough demos with her melody laden hooks and dreamy vocals. Colin O'Neill provided vibrant guitar riffs and Kevin Doxsey was behind the kit and on bass and drummer Brian Alvarez joined later that summer. After self-releasing the songs as digital singles, the band signed to Shelflife Records and will be releasing the material on their debut 7" Jumprope.
