About "Bad Kid"

"Bad Kid" -- A True Story of Growing Up Goth in Texas

"Bad Kid" is the hilarious, moving tale of a gay goth boy who dreamed of being anywhere but Texas in 1991 -- preferably somewhere in London clad in a cape and fishnet gloves while standing alone in the rain. The setting is specific yet the story's universal as David Crabb, in his solo show, reflects on rebellion, sexuality, friendship and what it means to grow up different and alone -- just like everyone else. HarperCollins Perennial recently published the book version of "Bad Kid" to excellent reviews. The show, a "New York Times" Critics Pick after its 2012 debut, has played venues in New York City, Washington DC and Austin. It now makes a return engagement to the acclaimed off-Broadway Axis Theatre.
