Essential New York Tour

The Essential New York Tour is a 48-hour pass that allows you unlimited access to hop-on and hop-off any of the double decker tour buses as you desire on 4 different tours within Manhattan including the Uptown Tour, Downtown Tour, Brooklyn Loops and the Night Tour (the Night Tour is not a hop-on hop-off tour). Not only are there over 40 stops and connecting transfer points to switch from tour to tour where you can spend as much or as little time as you prefer as you explore New York's most unforgettable attractions. When your ready to continue, you just hop back on the next bus! And, the lower deck of the bus is air conditioned / heated for your comfort and each of the tours are fully narrated.

The Essential New York Tour also includes the United Nations Tour, PLUS your choice of admission tickets to 1) Liberty/Ellis Islands Ferry (where the Immigration Museum is located) where you can gaze at New York's breathtaking panaramic view and awesome skyline of the city that never sleeps and the inspiring Statue of Liberty OR 2) a one-hour harbor cruise.

Departs: Gray Line Visitors Center, 777 Eighth Ave. (between 47th & 48th streets), New York, NY. Open daily Sun-Sat from Jan 2 - Dec 31 (except Christmas Day & New Years Day). Hours of operation: 9am-5:30pm, with buses running every 30-45 minutes throughout the day.

Travel Tips

  • Tickets are valid for 48 hours from the time they are issued.
  • Please allow 2-3 hours per loop.
  • The operator reserves the right to upgrade, alter or terminate any or all of our tours due to security, weather conditions, or acts of God.
  • Confirmation for this product will be received within 24 hours of booking. If you are booking within 24-hours of your tour, please call 1-866-641-8687 between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time after placing your online order.
  • Essential New York Tour Tickets include Liberty Island/Ellis Island Ferry and The Empire State Building Observatory
  • Not included: Drivers Gratuity (optional), entrance fees to any attractions (except what's mentioned above) or tickets to enter the stature of Liberty.
  • Tickets for the ferry and the Empire State Building Observatory can be used at any time during your stay or visitors may use the Downtown Loop to hop-on and hop-off at Battery Park (embarkation point for ferry to Liberty/Ellis Islands) and at the Empire State Building; visits are not guided.
  • At holiday times and in summer, clients should allow at least 2-3 hours of visiting only Statue of Liberty and 3-4 hours if visiting both Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
  • By purchasing ferry ticket in advance, clients will save time by not having to stand in line at the ticket booth however, you must still wait in line to board the ferry.
  • Ferry departs from Battery Park (one of the stops on the Downtown Loop) approximately every 20 minutes between 9:00 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. in season; less frequently in winter. First stop is Liberty Island, Second stop is Ellis Island then the ferry returns to Battery Park.
  • Tours are operated in English unless otherwise noted.
